Give feedback someone can use
Useful music feedback names something you noticed and gives the maker a choice about what to try next. In Hearhood, a shared song's comment view keeps that conversation beside the song. You need a signed-in account and a display name to add a comment.

Asking about your own song?
Use Ask for music feedback to prepare a goal, a short passage and one question. It helps the person listening understand what kind of response would be useful.
Listen for one detail
Open a song card and listen before writing. Choose timing, a change between sections, the balance of instruments or another detail you can describe. You do not need to sound like a producer. “The bass covers the melody here” is clearer than a list of unexplained technical terms.
If you cannot play the song, say what you could inspect. Do not write as though you heard audio that you did not hear.
Open Comments and locate the moment
Use Comment or Comments on the song card, depending on whether it already has comments. When a player is open, the interface can include the current bar with a comment. A bar is a group of beats in the song. Check that the reference matches the moment you mean before sending; do not guess a number just to make the feedback sound precise.
A plain description such as “when the drums return” is useful if a bar reference is unavailable. The beats and bars guide explains the counting.
Use observation, effect and an option
Here is an example to adapt, not a real member's comment: “When the chorus starts, I find the words harder to follow. Could you try a quieter bass there and compare?” It describes a listening experience and offers an experiment without claiming there is only one correct mix.
Avoid insults, repeated demands, private contact details and promises you cannot keep. The song's owner is notified about a new comment. A comment is part of the public song conversation, not a private message.
Keep control of the conversation
The commenter and the song owner have supported controls for removing comments. For unwanted contact, use the community's Report or Block features rather than arguing in the thread. Blocking does not recall a copied song link.
Try writing one observation in a local note first. Posting it is optional. If you do post, reread it from the maker's point of view before pressing send.
