Keep useful songs together in a collection

A collection groups shared Hearhood songs so you can find them again. It is a set of links, not a download of every song, a private project backup or a folder of recorded audio. Sign in to a free account before saving or managing collections.

Save a song for a reason

Find a shared song you want to revisit and choose Save on its card. Select a collection or create one when the collection picker offers it. Give the collection a useful name, such as “Bass ideas to study” or “Next practice session”. A name that describes your purpose is easier to return to than “Stuff”.

You can save the same idea where it helps your organisation. Saving does not give you ownership of the music or replace the original creator's credit.

Return through My collections

Open the account menu and choose My collections. Open the collection to inspect its songs. Its management controls let you rename it or remove links you no longer want in that group. Removing a link from your collection does not delete the maker's original song.

The current limits are 50 collections per member and 200 songs in each collection. If you reach a limit, organise what you already have before making more. Avoid deleting anything you still want to keep.

A collection can be opened through its link without signing in. Treat that link as shareable, rather than assuming the collection is a private notebook. Do not put private contact details or unreleased plans in a collection name.

If a shared song is taken down, it drops out of the collection. A saved collection cannot restore a revoked song link or supply a missing recording. Download your own editable work separately using the backup guide.

A two-minute exercise

Choose two songs for one purpose, save them together and return through My collections. Explain to yourself why each belongs there. You can stop after organising the links; you do not need to publish a post or send the collection to anyone.
